I. Definition of VAPT
Vulnerability Assessment is a step to detect, identify and learn the weaknesses of an information technology-based system or infrastructure.
Security Penetration Testing is testing the security of an information system to determine the weaknesses of the system, by carrying out attacks on the system by utilizing vulnerability (hacking), without taking actions that cause damage to the system.
II. The purpose of VAPT
- Look for weaknesses or vulnerabilities of a system
- Knowing what needs to be improved from the system so that the system is strong enough from potential failures or potential hackers / crackers
- Get a list of weaknesses that our system has and their causes and recommendations for fixing weaknesses or closing existing security holes.
- Looking for system weaknesses and after being discovered later the system weaknesses are tried to be exploited to find out the possibilities of the impacts that occur.
- A preventive action by an organization to prevent the system being broken into by crackers.
- Protecting company assets
